プレイヤーは１プレイごとにホームタウンを１ヶ所決められます。
ホームタウンには倉庫が置かれ、在庫を25000まで保管することが出来ます。
都市には沿岸都市と内陸都市の２種類があり、沿岸都市は造船所があり船の
建造が出来、海上へのアクセスが可能です
陸上からも移動できますが、陸続きの都市が無い場合、海からしか交易
出来ない場合があります。
沿岸都市をホームタウンに選んだ場合、所持金25000、牛車１台と船１隻を所有している
状態からスタートします。
内陸都市は造船所が無く船を建造することが出来ず海へのアクセスが出来ません。
内陸都市をホームタウンに選んだ場合、所持金45000、牛車１台を所有している
状態からスタートします。

『japan trade』の世界には38の都市があり、以下の8つの地域に分類されています。

同じ地域では一部の生産品が重複していることが多く、また商品の相場は同じ地域では
ほぼ同じ値動きをします。
※はじめのうちはホームタウンには大陸側の沿岸の都市をお勧めします。
陸路にも海路にもアクセスできるので物流の拠点として有利になります。

ゲームの進め方 - how to play -
まず乗り物を編成します。
陸路で交易する場合は馬車、海で交易する場合は船を購入し、小屋で食料、水を補給したうえで
労働者を雇い、商隊を編成します。
交易所で周辺の都市の相場などを確認してから、利益の出そうな商品を買い付けます。
準備が出来たら、街の正門か船着場から出発し、別の街に移動します。
このようにして、街から都市へ商品を売っていくことで資金を増やしていきます。
価格は季節や地域などで常に変動していきますので、酒場や交易所などで情報収集しながらより
利益の出そうな商品を買い付けます。
